ALBUM LAUNCH for 'NEAR AND FAR'

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS TWO BLACK SHEEP & A STALLION

THE MICKLEGATE SOCIAL, MICKLEGATE, YORK

8pm Tickets £5 advance - £7 on the door

It's an amazing thing to think that we are going to be releasing our new album, our 7th studio album.

Over the years we have continued to collect and work our magic on so many songs from around the world and across the ages.  Near and Far is an exquisite collection of songs and we are so proud of what we have achieved.  We went into the studio with John Spence at Fairview Studios and once again he helped us produce our unique special sound.  The ideas for artwork are all being put in place and once again Richard Nagy has kindly agreed to design something really special for us.  This time we are using the incredible original artwork of Sarah's sister Rosie Dean.  Her oil on board masterpieces are the perfect backdrop to reflect our feelings of this album being a celebration of new beginnings and looking to the future.

Near and Far represents our new body of songs that we've been performing and arranging since the HeartFelt album released in 2014.

We are delighted to announce that our good friends Two Black Sheep & A Stallion will be joining us in support.  It's always terrific to hear the lads sing and I'm sure we will have some joint songs to sing for you!  Glorious 7 part harmony!!  Can't wait!

FRIDAY 26th OCTOBER 2012

An Evening with Soundsphere featuring

very special guest IVAN SANTOS

THE BLACK SWAN INN

Peasholme Green, York

Music starts at 8pm

Ivan is in Britain for a couple of weeks and we are so pleased to share the stage with him.

Hailing from Brazil, Ivan sings beautifully and plays fabulous guitar.....

"Santos is an inventive guitar player who gives each song he plays a particular touch

- he never uses the same idea twice. This is what gives the foundation to his style along

with the percussive yet calm nature of his down-to-earth voice"

Ivan has just released a new CD “Grampeado” within in it you will find a kind of music

you could call “World Pop”.  The CD is a collection of tunes with a distinct character,

but related to the history of popular music.  It's a very original blend of Brazilian

tradition and modern urban music –  every song contains a lot of surprises in its

arrangements and interpretation.

We can't wait for this evening !!
